It’ll Be Off

Good afternoon.

Drawing the home teams will be former Manchester United defender, and scorer of the winning goal in the 1990 final replay, Lee Martin. Drawing the away team is another grizzly ex-pro who finds themselves out of work due to not being part of the nepotistic old boys’ network, and was consequently the only other available person to do this on a Monday lunchtime.

Without further ado, the draw:

“Number 0ne.”

Number one: FC United of Manchester or Nantwich Town.

“Will play…. Number two.”

Number two, FC Halifax Town. That concludes the draw for the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, or at least the only bit I’m remotely interested in. The tie will be played on Saturday 27th September. Unless the fact Bury are playing at home to Wycombe means it can’t. Or unless it rains a bit. Or whatever.

I can,t see our landlords letting two games played
at home on the same weekend. Called off due to a frozen pitch.
